We’re extremely proud to welcome back the Palmer Foundation, which provides apprenticeships and routes into the automotive engineering industry for talented young people, regardless of social background, gender or ethnicity.

Our thanks to Dr Andy and Hitomi Palmer for their continued support to our Festival. Visit their website here: https://palmerfoundation.org.uk/

This is an area which Keren has been working very hard on to ensure the Festival also has an educational aspect, so that we can inspire future generations to pursue careers in engineering and the wider motorsport sector.

Bolton University will also be bringing their historic Formula One car for their engineering students to display, with demonstrations taking place at lunchtime each day.

Also in the Engineering Village will be a number of other universities and colleges which offer courses in automotive engineering, agriculture and other industries. The Palmer Foundation will also be promoting their various apprenticeships programmes which aim to ensure the future of young people seeking careers in these areas.

For companies wishing to showcase their business in this area, we have tented trade stand runs and space only options available.

Further news about the Engineering Village will be updated in our Festival Torque newsletter and on social media.

For participation in this Village please contact keren@ymsf.net.
